Less than two weeks to take back the Senate
We have less than two weeks left to beat John Sununu and help take back the United States Senate.
Last Saturday in Exeter, we gathered with Governor Gavin Newsom, Senator Maggie Hassan, Cinde Warmington, Stefany Shaheen, and a room full of Granite Staters who are ready to finish this race strong.

The people who will power us over the finish line are the ones who filled that room along with those knocking doors, making calls, and talking to their neighbors every day. This campaign was built by grassroots supporters from New Hampshire and across the country, and all of you will decide this race in these final 12 days.
Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and a network of special interest donors have spent over $64 million trying to buy this seat for John Sununu. They’re betting that their millions can drown out the voices of the people of New Hampshire. We’re betting on you.
The other side has millions in outside spending. We have you.
Will you chip in $15 today to help us win New Hampshire and flip the Senate in 12 days?
If you couldn’t be there on Saturday, here’s the full transcript of my remarks:
Good afternoon, Exeter.
Thanks, everyone, for joining this great event today. I want to thank Senator Hassan for your introduction and your comments, and most importantly, for the leadership that you’re providing for the people of New Hampshire right now.
This is not a time to stand down. It’s a time to stand up. And if you’ve watched Maggie Hassan in action over the last couple of years in Washington, she is standing up for the people of New Hampshire every day. Thank you for your leadership.
And what a great day when we can join our next Congresswoman, Stefany Shaheen, and our next Governor, Cinde Warmington. Thank you for being out here, guys. I know it’s been a long day.
It’s another No Kings Day. Happy No Kings Day, everyone.
This is the original No Kings state. You heard a little bit about the history right here in Exeter 250 years ago when we inked independence into the fabric of who we are as Granite Staters. We didn’t stand for kings then, and we’re not about to start doing that in 2026, are we?
I’ve got members of my family here. My amazing mom and my husband Vann are here. This is an all-hands-on-deck team effort. We need everyone under the tent.
This week we announced a list of endorsers for our campaign who are putting country over party. We are building a big tent, because it’s not just about bringing together progressives and moderate Democrats. It’s about bringing together independents and Republicans who are sick and tired of what’s going on in this nation, who know that this is not as good as it gets for the United States of America.
Together we can write a chapter and build a future that is fairer and freer for every Granite Stater, and everyone has a stake in that future.
We’re really proud of the support that we are building, and it includes all of you from every single corner of this state.
We’ve got to get out there and do the work these next 17 days, because everything is on the line. This is the most important midterm election of our lifetime, because we have a government and a reckless, incompetent president who is out of control.
You can count on one hand the number of Republicans that are actually standing up and doing something about it. That caucus of capitulation and cowardice has far too many members in Washington, D.C. right now. And despite some showing occasional concern, we can’t send a Senator from New Hampshire who is going to capitulate and cower to Donald Trump. We need someone who’s going to put the people of this state first.
John Sununu has said as much. He says that this race is “important to Donald Trump’s agenda” and to protecting the successes of the Trump Administration. Now I don’t know what those successes are. Do you?
Is it $4.50 gas? Is it record diesel costs? Is it the $1,000 that you just put in your home heating oil tank? Is it the fact that tens of thousands of Granite Staters are losing health care? Is it the tariffs that are hammering our small businesses? What are those successes?
John Sununu sounds a lot like Trump, who proclaims this to be a golden age for America. Are you buying that? The people of New Hampshire aren’t buying it.
It might be a golden age if you’re Don Jr. and a Russian oligarch is paying for your wedding reception. It might be a golden age if you’re the pool guy who just got a no-bid contract to do the reflecting pool. It might be a golden age if you’re getting special treatment and you’re part of the Epstein class. And it might be a golden age if you’re Donald Trump himself, who’s $2.2 billion richer than when he came into the White House in January of last year.
The corruption is out in the open right now, and people like John Sununu are turning a blind eye to it. They’re sidling up to Donald Trump on all the policies that are making life worse: the way our economy is being rigged for those at the top and the way our political system is being flooded with all this out-of-state money because they think that their millions are more powerful than your voice.
But here in New Hampshire, we’re going to say something pretty profound this year: Our votes are not for sale.
This is still the Live Free or Die state, and we have the power in our own hands to decide what comes next in this country.
We get to decide that we’re not just going to blindly follow Donald Trump’s agenda. We get to stand up and fight for people in New Hampshire who deserve a better future. We get to fight to make sure we’re delivering health care as a right, and not a privilege, to every Granite Stater. We’re fighting hard to get big money out of our political system, end partisan gerrymandering, and put the power of our democracy in your hands.
We have the power to determine how we protect our air and our water and act to protect this planet and take action on climate change. We have the power to bring down costs and make sure that there’s opportunity for families who are struggling and sturdy rungs on the ladder of opportunity for future generations.
We have the power to build a strong system of public education and take on those that are siphoning money out of our public schools. We have the power to protect the personal freedoms of everyone, especially women who have been subject to draconian laws all across this country that are taking away their right to choose. We can restore Roe v. Wade if we reassert our political power this year.
There’s so much that we can accomplish.
I had two debates this week with John Sununu. In one of them, he said that he wasn’t going to tell you what his plans were for Social Security because he was afraid he was going to get attacked in the campaign for them. Probably means he wants to cut benefits, right? Probably means he would entertain cutting benefits or raising the retirement age. But I have to tell you this: I am fighting to preserve Social Security and make sure that it’s there for today’s seniors and tomorrow’s retirees.
This election is about how we muster the courage we need to stand up to a broken presidency, how we stand up to the billionaire class and the corporate special interests that are calling all the shots in Washington, D.C. right now, and how we write that next chapter for the future of New Hampshire and for this nation.
It’s about turning the page on Trump and turning the page on the broken politics of the past that are reflected by John Sununu.
I don’t have to remind you all that he was our Senator before. Many of you remember that. It didn’t end well for New Hampshire. He was down the line for George W. Bush. He supported forever wars. He supported massive tax breaks to the super-wealthy and the biggest corporations that added trillions of dollars to our debt. He supported a $700 billion bailout of Wall Street while Main Street got screwed during the housing crisis. He voted to put anti-choice judges on the bench who overturned Roe v. Wade.
We’ve seen the movie before. We know the sequel is always worse. Why would we walk into the theater again and buy a ticket to see the show?
We’ve got to turn the page on John Sununu and the broken politics of the past, because this is about what comes next. We need a new generation of leadership in the United States Senate, and I’m fighting to be that Senator from New Hampshire.
These guys are flooding the zone with their dark money. We see it every day. It’s on all of your screens, and it’s coming from Donald Trump’s super PAC, from Elon Musk, from the Koch network, literally spending over $64 million already and counting on this race.
But we’ve got something pretty profound to talk about here. It’s a message about the future. It’s a message about hope. It’s a message about inclusion. It’s a message about a fair economy. And we’re going to work hard the next 17 days to deliver that message.
We need your help to get it out. So sign up for a canvass shift, make some phone calls, talk to your neighbors about the stakes in this election.
We have come so far over the last year and a half, at a moment where Trump wasn’t counting on this sort of response from the American public. He thought we would be so overwhelmed that we would back off of our responsibilities as citizens, that we would just relinquish our vote, our power to speak out and push back.
This is a time not to fold. It’s time to continue to fight and do what you have done on No Kings Day, at the protest in Merrimack, New Hampshire, to stop that ICE facility from being built, and in special elections where we’ve been picking up steam in towns and cities across New Hampshire. We are on the march. We have to sustain this effort over the next 17 days to get the kind of representation that we deserve in Washington, D.C.
This is a tough fight, but we can absolutely win it. Let’s continue to link arms. Let’s continue to work hard.
At the beginning of Trump 2.0, there were a lot of Democrats saying, “Well just ride it out, and you’ll have a good midterm in a couple of years.” That doesn’t work for people who are being harmed by the policies of this government. It doesn’t work for our federal workforce that is being drummed out of service with the DOGE cuts. It doesn’t work for New Hampshire families who are losing access to health care. It doesn’t work for people who care about the strength of American democracy.
Governor Newsom showed us how to stand up and fight back, not with one hand tied behind our back, but by trying to find every point of leverage that we have to make the case and to hold the line for democracy and Americans who are counting on us.
We’ve got to continue to muster that courage over the next 17 days. If we follow that example, we’re going to win here. We’re going to elect candidates up and down the ticket. We’re going to turn New Hampshire blue from top to bottom, and we’re going to flip the majorities, not just in Concord, but in the House and Senate in Washington and begin to unwind the damage that’s been caused to our democracy.
Let’s get out there and do it. Let’s keep fighting. Let’s win this. Let’s deliver the kind of future that New Hampshire deserves.
I’d be honored to be your Senator. Let’s work to make it happen.
Thank you so much. Thanks for being here.
