ROUNDUP: 2022 GOP Senate Nominee General Don Bolduc Endorses Chris Pappas, Highlighting Campaign’s Growing Support Across Party Lines In New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Granite State Democrats, independents, and Republicans are standing with Chris Pappas and his agenda to lower costs and create a freer, fairer future. Chris Pappas recently announced a new “Country Before Party” coalition of Republicans and independents endorsing the campaign, including Don Bolduc, the 2022 Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. Bolduc said he was endorsing Pappas because of his commitment to serving our veterans, and because he will always follow his conscience and do the right thing for New Hampshire.

The bombshell news made waves across New Hampshire, making clear for voters that Trump-endorsed John Sununu will be nothing more than a rubber stamp for Trump’s agenda  — so much that even the most recent Republican nominee for Senate can’t support him.

New Hampshire Today: Interview with Brig. General Don Bolduc

With Chris Ryan, 10/16/26

  • Bolduc: “We’re in a terrible predicament here in our country. This is about country over party — I think a sentiment that is being seen and felt all over the country. We all, I think, are in a quandary, and we need people to step up.”
  • Bolduc: “The decisions of this particular administration, with the consent of the Republicans in Congress, who have admitted lately that they knew better, but just you know, didn’t do anything, you know, has led to a poor economy, higher debt, high cost of housing, no solutions for healthcare, a foreign policy crisis, gas, diesel, and food prices that are completely unacceptable. Unprecedented divisiveness, and we are not respected by the international community. The administration has strayed from the important values of this country, and we are really a nation in crisis.”
  • Bolduc: “We need change, and this is why I’m supporting Chris Pappas. I’ve walked with him in parades. I’ve shared the podium with him several occasions in Manchester at different veteran events. I’ve attended veteran events with him. He has a notable record for fighting for our constituents, and he has always, always treated me with respect.”
  • Bolduc: “Most notable, he will not default to a vote for the administration. He will follow his conscience. He will do the right thing for his constituents, and that is really what is most important.”

Union Leader: Don Bolduc, 2022 GOP Senate nominee, endorses Democrat Chris Pappas over John E. Sununu

By Kevin Landrigan, 10/15/26

  • In a surprising development, Don Bolduc of Stratham, the Trump-endorsed Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in 2022, is leading a group of GOP figures and prominent independents backing Democratic Senate candidate Chris Pappas of Manchester.
  • […]
  • But Bolduc, the 64-year-old retired Army brigadier general, was the big prize for Pappas coming just weeks before the high-stakes U.S. Senate race is decided with former U.S. Sen. John E. Sununu, a Rye Republican.
  • “Chris Pappas’s unwavering dedication to our veterans and his efforts to foster bipartisan cooperation set him apart as a leader who will prioritize the needs of all constituents,” Bolduc said in a statement first released to the Union Leader.
  • “His ability to navigate the complex landscape of our economy, tackle the national debt with a steady hand, and work towards solutions that bridge divides is especially critical in today’s challenging political climate.”

Union Leader: Donald C. Bolduc: For the good of the nation, look beyond party lines this election

By Donald Bolduc, 10/17/26

  • As we prepare to head to the polls next month, it is imperative that we engage thoughtfully and critically with the candidates, moving beyond mere party affiliations to prioritize integrity, pragmatism, and a genuine commitment to public service. This may require supporting a candidate not in your declared party.
  • There is no such thing as a perfect candidate. There are “just about right” candidates who reflect a blend of pragmatism and idealism, showing they can navigate the complexities of governance while staying true to their principles. They are those who prioritize the public interest over personal agendas, engage in constructive dialogue, and show resilience in the face of political challenges.
  • My experiences running for political office have profoundly shaped my perspective on the political arena. It has been a transformative journey, one that has exposed both the best and the worst of human nature in the realm of governance. I entered the fray with an idealistic vision, hopeful of engaging with individuals who were committed to the common good. While I encountered many good-hearted people dedicated to serving their communities, I also found that the majority were self-serving, agenda-driven, untrustworthy, and vindictive. This dichotomy left a lasting impression on me and has fundamentally altered my understanding of what it means to lead and serve.
  • This environment of division and discord has been disheartening. As I navigated the complexities of campaigning, I found it increasingly clear that the essence of governance — building a coalition for progress — was being undermined by political rivalries and egocentric ambitions. The focus on winning at all costs, rather than striving for solutions that benefit all citizens, has created a chasm that seems insurmountable at times. It became painfully obvious that this orientation not only hampers our ability to govern effectively but also alienates the very constituents we are meant to serve.
  • Nevertheless, amidst this landscape, there are glimmers of hope — candidates who embody the spirit of unity that Granite Staters urgently need. I have come to understand that such leaders are not those who play along with the partisan game; they are individuals who prioritize collaboration, integrity, and the well-being of their communities above all else. They recognize that governance is not a zero-sum game, but rather a shared endeavor that requires trust and mutual respect. These candidates inspire me to amplify their voices, and I firmly believe that endorsing them in the upcoming election is a crucial step toward reclaiming our political landscape from divisiveness and stagnation.
  • In the race for the United States Senate, I am supporting Chris Pappas, a candidate who exemplifies moderation in a world increasingly defined by extremes. Chris Pappas offers a voice of reason, placing a paramount focus on critical social programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. He will take on the greedy health insurance and pharmaceutical companies. He will rein in tech companies that are pushing AI data centers and high utility costs for consumers. He will work to stop members of Congress from getting rich off insider information. His demonstrated dedication to veterans and efforts to cultivate bipartisan cooperation have made him a standout choice. In today’s challenging political climate, Pappas represents a steady hand capable of addressing pressing issues related to our economy and national debt while striving for solutions that unite rather than divide.
  • […]
  • Let us resolve to arm ourselves with knowledge and courage, choosing to support candidates who reflect our values and aspirations — regardless of their political party.

Axios: Trump’s former Senate pick backs Democrat in New Hampshire

By Josephine Walker, 10/15/26

  • Don Bolduc, the Trump-endorsed Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire in 2022, and a group of other Republicans and independents have endorsed Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas in the state’s upcoming Senate race.
  • Why it matters: The cross-party endorsement is a rare moment of bipartisan unity and highlights how dissatisfaction with the Trump agenda could affect how moderate and independent voters vote in the purple state.
